Rummy is a pretty straightforward game but for those who haven’t played the game before, they need to be aware of some simple rules. Online sites like www.ace2three.com have demo videos which make it very easy to understand the game.
Online rummy is very easy to understand and win:
This classic Indian rummy is usually played with two decks of cards with a joker in each deck. Each deck consists of 13 cards in 4 different suits. The cards in each deck rank from low to high.
Ace 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Jack Queen King
Jack (J), Queen (Q), King (K) and Ace all have a value of 10.
The 4 D’s (Deal, Draw, Discard, and Drop)
At the start of the game each player is dealt 13 cards each. This is called the deal. The player who plays first has to draw a card from the closed deck of cards that have remained after dealing or the topmost card from the open pile of discarded cards. Each player has to draw a card and then discard a card. If you do not wish to play the game at any point you can drop the game. You can drop anytime during the game however you should drop before you draw a card.
Aim of the game – The Meld and Show
The aim of the game is to arrange your cards in groups. A group can be either a Life or a set. To make a show, you need to have at least two lives out of which one has to be pure (without the use of a joker). Once all your groups are ready, you can make a show. The act of arranging your cards in these groups is called melding. A set would have 3-4 cards with the same value from different suits.
Last, but not the least, the joker but not at all funny!
The joker is a card which can be used as any card in a second life or a set. It can be very handy. Check here for Rummy Rules at www.Ace2Three.com
